Research and Publishing Ethics

We aim to ensure that everything we publish is ethically sound and complies with the policies and principles set out by the leading authorities in this arena. We closely follow the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Please see our Ethics page for more details.

Digital Archiving

BIS Education has electronic backup and preservation of access to the content of its proceedings via the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). PKP has developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to preserve OJS journals digitally. The LOCKSS program offers decentralized and distributed preservation, seamless perpetual access, and preservation of the authentic original version of the content. The PKP PN ensures that journals not part of any other digital preservation service (such as CLOCKSS or Portico) can be preserved for long-term access. For additional details about the PKP PN, see the high-level overview (an early discussion document).

Public Knowledge Project has developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve journals, PKP PN stores, and distribute all journal content at participating libraries.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

This proceeding is a Diamond Open Access journal. This means the journal is published Open Access, and if your article is accepted for publication, you will not have to pay an article processing charge. All published articles are freely available on the journal website without any charge.

Copyright and Creative Commons Licensing

Each volume adheres to the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, which outlines permitted ways for others to reuse the content. Conference organizers sponsor the online publication of each volume, eliminating additional publication fees for authors.
